Worcester Car Dealership Will Be Demolished For Apartments, Café: Plans
The mixed-use building near Clark University will include 40 apartments, plus an electric vehicle service center, plans say.

WORCESTER, MA — A planned mixed-use apartment building that would replace a Park Avenue car dealership will be up for a key city approval next week from the Conservation Commission.
Plans filed with the city call for a six-story, 40-unit building at 487 Park Ave., the home of Olsi Auto Sales. The new building, one block west of the Clark University campus, would include a café space on the first floor, plus a "specialized electric vehicle inspection and repair space."
The building, which would only feature two-bedroom apartments, would also feature a variety of "green" features, like geothermal heat, solar panels, a rooftop garden and electric vehicle charging stations.

The property owner, Gjinko Realty LLC, purchased the property in 2015 for $310,000, according to Worcester County property records. The LLC's manager is Olsi Gjinko, who has operated Olsi Auto Sales along Park Avenue for about 30 years.
The property owner will go before the Conservation Commission on Monday seeking permission to perform work within 100 of a storm drain.
