WRENTHAM, MA — King Philip Regional High School in Wrentham has been recognized a Special Olympics Massachusetts Unified Champion School for its continued efforts to provide opportunities and activities for all. Special Olympics Massachusetts recently awarded the school with a certificate for its commitment to inclusion. The school was honored for embodying what it means to be a Unified Champion School through unified sports, inclusive youth leadership programs and whole-school engagement, school officials say.

"We strive to provide effective activities that equip our students with the tools and training needed to create a community that welcomes everyone," said King Philip High School Principal Lisa Mobley.

King Philip High School has now joined 26 other Unified Champion Schools in Massachusetts. The schools have been invited to apply for national recognition in the spring.
