Lightning Strike Believed To Ignite Fire At Norfolk Home
Tuesday Night's thunderstorm is believed to produce lightning strikes that started a fire in Norfolk.
NORFOLK, MA — A fast moving thunderstorm is said to be the culprit behind a fire that started in a housing development Tuesday night.
Firefighters say flames could be seen coming through the roof at the housing development at 86 Red Maple Run in Norfolk when they arrived. They first received the call at 6:20 p.m. and were able to control the fire.
The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of Suffolk, Norfolk, Worcester, Middlesex, Plymouth and Bristol counties for a short time Tuesday night.

Wrentham also experienced suspected lightning strikes around the same time, including one at about 6:50 p.m. on Oak Hill Ave.
