Obituary: Frederick F. Jones, 60, Wrentham Resident
He worked for Mr. Dooley's Irish Pub and the Cracker Barrel, both in Wrentham.

Frederick F. Jones, 60, of Wrentham, formerly of Reading and North Reading, passed away on Friday, Oct. 31, 2014, at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, after a courageous ten year battle with cancer.
Born in Boston, MA on June 30, 1954, he was the son of the late Maurice Jones and Alice (Mair) Ash. He attended North Reading Schools and was a graduate of North Reading High School. Fred was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, serving from 1972 to 1974.

He worked for Mr. Dooley’s Irish Pub and the Cracker Barrel, both in Wrentham, and formerly for the Amvets Post No. 201 in Ipswich.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Wrentham and a former member of St. Theresa’s Church in North Reading. Fred was a member of Amvets Post No. 201 in Ipswich, North Reading Loyal Order of Moose, Knights of Columbus, Council No. 4544 in North Reading and the American Legion in Ipswich.

Fred enjoyed life, helping people, protecting his family, volunteering and charity work. He had a heart of gold, he enjoyed cooking and feeding those he loved. He especially loved his family. He was most proud of his role as a father and grandfather. He loved his cat of 20 years, Bailey, and the Patriots.
Family members include his loving wife of 38 years, Laura (Crittenden) Jones; his daughter, Shannon Jacobs and her husband Craig, all of Wrentham; father of the late Richard A. Jones; brother of Paul Jones of Florida, Thomas Jones and his wife Kathleen of Falmouth, Daniel Jones and his wife Lucille of North Reading and Alice Young of Enfield, CT; he was the brother of the late Maurice Jones, Katherine Vaughan and Alan Jones; sister-in-laws, Jeanette Jones of Lynn and Joanne Jones of Charlestown; grandchildren, Kayla Chiarelli-Jones of Plymouth, Carter, Mason, Hadley and Graham Jacobs of Wrentham; daughter-in-law, Lisa Chiarelli of Plymouth. Also also survived by many loving nieces and nephews .
Funeral from the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow St., North Reading on Thursday, Nov. 6 at 9 a.m., followed by a 10:30 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Theresa’s Church, 63 Winter Street (Rt. 62), North Reading. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in North Reading.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in his memory to: Lahey Hospital and Medical Center, 41 Mall Rd., Burlington, MA 01805, Attention: Dept. of Colon & Rectal Surgery Future Fund.
