Wrentham Route 1 Crash Seriously Injures Four Adults, Two Children
Six people, including children, are facing critical injuries after a two-car crash on Route 1 shut down part of the busy road.

WRENTHAM, MA — A multi-car crash on Route 1 in Wrentham over the weekend leaves six people, including children with life-threatening injuries.
Officers responded to a report of a crash on Route 1 between Madison and Thurston Streets around 9:40 p.m. Saturday.
Two cars - both SUVs, were found on the side of Route 1 south near 900 Washington Street, less than a mile from the I-495 interchange.

Police say the two cars involved were a 2013 Jeep Wrangler, which was driven by a 66-year-old woman from Plymouth, and a 2003 Honda CRB which was driven by an 18-year-old woman from Wrentham.
A police report shows that the Honda was traveling on Route 1 north around 9:20 p.m. when it turned left toward the Arbor Inn Motel's parking lot, colliding with the Jeep, which was traveling south.

Police say the Honda crossed over the double yellow line, hitting the Jeep's front end and coming into contact with the right rear side of the Honda.
The two children involved were taken to Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence and the four adults were taken to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence with what police called all serious injuries.
As of Tuesday morning, there has been no update on any of the conditions of the people involved.
The area of Washington Street near the Arbor Inn Motel was closed until a little after 11 p.m. while crews worked to clear the scene.
