1-2 Inches Of Snow Possible Amid Cold, Windy Monday: MI Weather

SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN — Lake effect snow will blanket parts of southeastern Michigan amid a cold and windy Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
Scattered snow showers will fall across the region thanks to strong northwesterly winds (25 MPH) that will keep wind chills in the single digits and teens throughout Monday, according to the weather service.
Areas in the Thumb region can see up to 2 inches of fresh snow by Monday night, while other areas across southeastern Michigan will see roughly 1 inch, according to the weather service.

Additionally, some localized areas along the Lake Huron shoreline can see up to 4 inches of snow by Monday night, according to the weather service.
The snow will mostly miss metro Detroit, except for parts in the northern and eastern zones, which can see a dusting of snow, according to the weather service.

Any lingering snow showers will fade away overnight when temperatures across the region fall into the teens, according to the weather service.
Temperatures will remain cold with wind chills falling at or near zero degrees by Wednesday, according to the weather service.
