COLOMA TOWNSHIP, MI — One person was killed and three kids were injured in a crash involving a train in southwest Michigan over the weekend, according to police.

The crash happened at 7 p.m. Saturday at a railroad crossing on Clements Court just north of East Logan Street in Coloma Township, according to police.

Witnesses told officers a car was struck by a train at the crossing and that there were several victims at the scene, according to police.

Officers found the car, which had one adult and three children inside, according to police.

The driver was killed in the crash while the three kids were taken to a nearby hospital where they were listed in stable condition, according to police.
