15-Year-Old Girl Hit, Killed While Riding Electric Bike In MI: Police
Police said the 15-year-old girl was riding her electric bike in the wrong direction when she was struck by a car.
PORT HURON, MI — A teen was killed in a Monday crash involving her electric bicycle in Michigan, according to police.
The crash happened at 10:02 p.m. in the 2800 block of Electric Avenue in Port Huron, according to police.
Police said the 15-year-old girl was riding her electric bike in the wrong direction when she was struck by a car.

The girl was taken to a nearby hospital where she died, according to police.
The driver who hit the girl stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

"Our hearts and prayers go out to the young girl’s family, friends, and all those affected by this heartbreaking loss," said Port Huron Chief of Police Brian Kerrigan. "This is a devastating incident for everyone involved."
