3 MI Towns Among Best Scenic Coastal Places In US

MICHIGAN — Three Michigan coastal towns were recognized for their scenic views.

New Jersey Real Estate Network put together a survey of the Top 135 Lesser-Known U.S. Coastal Towns with Scenic Views and found three Lake Michigan coastal cities.

Bay View, which sits on the Little Traverse Bay near Petoskey, came in at No. 15. The small town is best known for its hiking and biking trails, and the Victorian community is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Leland, which is best known for its historic fishing district, came in at No. 52. Charlevoix, a community that sits between Lake Michigan and Lake Charlevoix, came in at No. 58.

Three Hawaii towns topped the list, while two Florida towns rounded out the top 5.
