Did Giuliani Bring COVID-19 With Him To Lansing?
President Trump's lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, who did two indoor maskless events in Michigan this week, has been diagnosed with COVID-19.
President Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, who did two indoor maskless events in Michigan this week, has been diagnosed with COVID-19, the president announced on Twitter Sunday afternoon.
Trump also used the racist term “China virus” in announcing the news and said “we will carry on!!!” It’s not clear when Giuliani was diagnosed. His son, Andrew, a Trump administration staffer, contracted coronavirus late last month.

On Wednesday, Giuliani held a press conference with Michigan GOP Chair Laura Cox. He then appeared at a House Oversight Committee hearing for four and a half hours in Lansing in which Republicans made accusations of election fraud that have not been proven in court, as well as pushed conspiracy theories. Michigan has certified the election for President-elect Joe Biden and it is in the National Archives.
Giuliani, who was unmasked, tried to get one witness to remove hers. Several Michigan lawmakers were not in masks for at least some of the hearing.

“Saturday Night Live” did a sendup of the hearing to kick off the show on Saturday.
Giuliani takes over House committee hearing to boost election conspiracies
Several members of the Michigan Legislature have disclosed they had COVID-19 this year, but it’s not clear how many have had the virus, as it’s not legislative policy to automatically disclose that information to the public.
Giuliani also appeared before the Georgia legislature on Thursday.
State Rep. Darrin Camilleri (D-Brownstown Twp., who sparred with Giuliani and wanted him to testify under oath — which Chair Matt Hall (R-Marshall) refused to require — slammed Republicans for holding the hearing.
“Not only was the Rudy show dangerous to our democracy, but it also was a threat to our health. We knew it was a bad idea, but my Republican colleagues in the state legislature pushed on anyway — endangering all of us in that hearing room and the capitol. Time to get tested,” Camilleri tweeted.

State Rep. Abdullah Hammoud (D-Dearborn) made a reference to Giuliani apparently passing gas during the hearing in his Twitter remarks.
