MI Gas Prices Fall To Lowest Mark Since 2021

​Gas prices across Michigan fell Monday morning to their lowest mark since 2021, according to AAA.

Gas prices across Michigan fell Monday morning to their lowest mark since 2021, according to AAA.

The average price for a regular gallon of gas across Michigan on Monday $2.79, which is 39 cents cheaper than last month and 48 cents cheaper than this time last year, according to AAA.

Drivers paid an average of $41 for a full 15-gallon tank of gas, a $16 discount from last year's highest prices.

"Drivers across Michigan are seeing the lowest gas prices since April of 2021," AAA Spokesperson Adrienne Woodland said. "If crude oil prices and demand continue to fall, pump prices will likely follow suit."

Average gas prices in the metro Detroit area were slightly higher at $2.85 for a regular gallon, but that's still 34 cents cheaper than last month and 46 cents cheaper than this time last year, according to AAA.

The most expensive gas prices in Michigan were in Ann Arbor ($2.93), Marquette ($2.87) and metro Detroit ($2.84). The cheapest places to get gas were in Grand Rapids ($2.69), Flint ($2.70) and Lansing ($2.72).
