The Detroit Foundation Hotel earned the No. 10 spot in Conde Nast Traveler's latest ranking. The magazine scored the top hotels using a 100-point system. The Detroit Foundation Hotel earned a 98.07 score.

"It's one of those hotels where people actually want to hang out in the lobby," the magazine wrote. "You'll see local creatives, hipsters, and boss ladies decamping in the lobby for meetings or to use the podcasting studio and an adjacent small, quiet lounge."

The luxury hotel, located at 250 W. Larned St. in downtown Detroit, features many amenities, including a podcast studio, fifth-floor rooftop views and in-room pool tables in some units. Rooms typically cost $250-$1,000 a night, according to the hotel website.

The hotel also features The Apparatus Room, an eatery known for its elegant dishes. Popular dinners include homemade pici pasta with beef-heart bolognese topped with chopped onion, dijon mustard, and grated horseradish.

"This is a rare hotel for Detroit, with an authentic scene and a top restaurant (for the city, period)," the magazine wrote. "The Foundation Hotel could be a game-changer."
