MI Online Sports Betting And Gambling Hits Record High

Michigan online sports betting and gambling in November was up 12.1 percent from October, according to the Michigan Gaming Control Board​.

MICHIGAN — Online sports betting and gambling across Michigan hit record highs in November 2024, according to the Michigan Gaming Control Board.

Michigan casinos and other operators said they collected $284.3 million in total internet gaming in November, up 12.1 percent from October.

That total includes revenues from sports betting, online poker, online roulette and other games available online through casino websites and apps.

Michigan's iGaming gross receipts totaled $226.0 million, which is the highest to date after the previous high was $220.7 million recorded in October 2024.

In addition, sports betting also saw a big jump in November, reaching $58.3 million, an increase from the $33.0 million recorded in October.

Michigan sports bettors placed $650.2 million on sporting events in November 2024, up 16 percent from October.

Michigan collected $44.4 million in taxes and fees, including $42.5 million from iGaming and $1.9 million from sports betting, according to the Michigan Gaming Control Board.
