Michiganders Don't Want To Work? Study Says MI Has The Laziest Workforce In US

The study looked at average workweek hours, use of vacation time and workers who have more than one job.

Michigan has the laziest workforce, according to a new study that looked at the hardest-working states.

To determine the ranking, WalletHub compared all 50 states across 10 key indicators, including the unemployment rate, average workweek hours, the percentage of workers who leave vacation time unused, and the percentage of workers who have more than one job.

And Michigan was dead last.

But Michigan isn't the only rust belt state that performed poorly in the ranking, as Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia also earned lousy grades.

On the other hand, the top five hardest-working states were North Dakota, Alaska, South Dakota, Texas and Hawaii.
