Authorities describe her as vulnerable due to mental health and memory issues and urge anyone who may have seen her to contact 911 or the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department.
   

4. Michigan's Bill Huizenga will run for reelection to Congress, ending months of uncertainty (kentucky.com) — Battle Creek voters are part of Michigan’s 4th Congressional District, where Republican Rep. Bill Huizenga just confirmed he’ll seek reelection in 2026. The race is drawing national attention as Democrats see the district, which includes Battle Creek and much of the Lake Michigan shoreline, as increasingly competitive after recent statewide wins and closer margins against Huizenga.

Coldwater Legg Middle School Polar Bear girls swim teams earn split with Battle Creek Central (wtvbam.com) — Coldwater Legg Middle School’s girls swim team topped Battle Creek Central 82–49 in their first home meet, while the boys’ squad came up short against the Bearcats. Several Coldwater swimmers posted multiple wins, but Battle Creek Central’s boys still edged out the Cardinals despite strong individual performances in freestyle and breaststroke events.
