BERKLEY, MI — A 24-year-old Berkley man is facing more charges after forcing a teen to have sex in exchange for vape products.

Darren Joshua Bradford was charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Bradford was already facing two other third-degree criminal sexual conduct charges in connection with the sexual assault of a 15-year-old Grosse Pointe Park girl in February.

In one instance, prosecutors said he told a 15-year-old girl he would not sell her vape products unless she had sex with him. Investigators said he had sex with the girl at her Bloomfield Township home as well as in his car, according to prosecutors.

"The facts alleged in this case are every parent's worst nightmare," Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald said. "This adult defendant appears to have preyed upon the vulnerabilities of a teenager to coerce sex from a victim who wasn't old enough and in a position to consent."

Police believe there may be other victims and asked anyone with information about other incidents to call police.
