Photos: Berkley Pub Crawl Has Busiest Year Yet

More than 100 people came out for drinks and munchies at Amici's Pizza & Living Room, The Blarney Stone Pub, Bagger Dave's, O'Mara's Restaurant and 24 Seconds Bar & Grill.

The annual Berkley Pub Crawl had its busiest year yet Thursday night as more than 100 participants enjoyed drinks and munchies at five watering holes throughout the city.

Registration began at between 5:30 and 7 p.m. Crawlers then moved by shuttle bus to and , from which they walked or biked to before heading to by 10 p.m. for raffle prize drawings on the roof.

"Turnout is awesome," Berkley Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Julie Melrose said as she checked crawlers in at Amici's. "This year is our busiest. We have more than 100 people."

Upon registration, each participant picked up a pub crawl card that had to be punched at each location to make them eligible for raffle prizes.

"This is my first pub crawl ever," Berkley resident Faith Bodde said at Bagger Dave's. "I don't even drink. It's just fun."

Besides the participating bars and restaurants, Pub Crawl sponsors included , , CAPTURECOM, Inc. Inc., Lisa Platt Auensen and Eric Auensen, Community Graphics, and .

"It's been good," Bagger Dave's manager Al Lauzon said. "I was a little worried early because I wasn't sure how many people would show up, but then it filled up. Everybody's been really cool, really friendly."
