Robina Rhapsody Cruises into Downtown Berkley

The free summer concert series in Berkley will offer fun for the whole family Thursday evening.

Grab your lawn chairs, pack a picnic dinner and get ready to boogie down Thursday during the Robina Rhapsody summer concert series, which has the theme '50s and '60s, Cruisin' in Berkley.

The free event, which is presented by the Berkley Junior Women's Club and sponsored by the Downtown Development Authority, will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Robina at 12 Mile Road. The street will be closed, and a stage set up for the Aaron Vaughn Band. There also will be activities for the children, including sidewalk chalk, hula hoops and bubbles.

The concert's theme dovetails with the on Friday and the Woodward Dream Cruise on Saturday.

"Everybody has fun at this event," said Denise Brainard of the Berkley Junior Women's Club.

"It's absolutely free. Just bring your lawn chair and your kids and have fun," she said.
