5 Places Open on Christmas Day in Birmingham
It's Christmas, but there are still a few places that will be open around town on Wednesday.
If you have to be out and about on Christmas Day, these places will be open to serve you in some capacity.Â
CVS
Most CVS stores are open Christmas Day, including 444 S Old Woodward Ave. but there is no guarantee that you will be able to fill a prescription. CVS is the spot to pick up a holiday card, pet food or other must-have item when just about everything else is closed.
Walgreens
The Walgreens at 34300 Woodward Ave. will be open on Christmas Day. The store's number one seller on Christmas? Butter.

Starbucks
The Starbucks located in and around Birmingham will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Christmas Day.7-Eleven
The convenience store becomes the ultra spot for convenience Christmas Day. On the way to Grandma's house, you can also pick up some last-minute items, from Advil to Gatorade. The 7-Eleven at 1650 Crooks Rd. in Troy is open 24 hours on Christmas Day.
Movie Theaters
Many people make a trip to the movies on Christmas, and the Palladium 12 Theatre and the Birmingham 8 will be more than happy to oblige. Showtimes begin at 11 a.m. on Christmas Eve and noon on Christmas Day.
