Qdoba

OK, so maybe it's not a four-star restaurant, but if you want to impress your sweetie, how about scoring him or her a free lunch at Qdoba?

The chain of Mexican restaurants (with a location in the Kroger complex on East Maple Road) is bringing back a Valentine's Day promotion on Thursday. If you buy an entree, you can get another for free — all you have to do is kiss a fellow customer (preferably your valentine and not a stranger) at the cash register. No coupon is necessary.

"Last year Qdoba guests smooched their way to thousands of free entrees," said David Craven, Qdoba's DVP of marketing in a release. "This year, we expect even more of our guest to turn up the heat this Valentine's Day and we look foward to rewarding them with a little love of our own."

Fleming's Prime Steakhouse

Give a little this Valentine's Day and then save a little as well. At Fleming's Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar, eat out this Valentine's Day and receive a $25 gift card to use toward a future rendezvous at Fleming's.

Fleming's is also offering a special Valentine's Day menu, featuring dishes like roasted lobster tail and chateaubriand with crab glacage, heirloom tomato and housemade burrata and chocolate budino. And don't forget a flirtateous cocktail, including the "Mint to Be" or "Venetian Valentine."

The fixed menu is $69.95 per person, while the cocktails cost up to $12 each. To make a reservation, call 248-723-0134.

Townsend Hotel

Even if you forgot to arrange something for tomorrow, who's to say you can't be romantic on any other day?

The Townsend Hotel always offers a special Romantic Encounter package with hotel accommodations for two at Birmingham's very own luxury hotel. A luxury room costs $400 a night ($450 for a luxury suite), and with that you also get: tuxedo chocolate strawberries, champagne, full breakfast for two (valued at $65) and valet parking.

To book a room, call 248-642-7900. While you're out, stop by the Townsend's Corner Bar on Thursday evening for The Little Red Dress Party. Doors open at 7 p.m.
