Birmingham Resident Named Beaumont 'Outstanding Doctor'

Birmingham resident Simon Dixon was named one of eight "Outstanding Doctors" in 2012 by the Beaumont Health System.

“Four years ago, I began a tradition at Beaumont where we recognize outstanding members of our medical staff,” says Ananias Diokno, Beaumont Health System's executive vice president and chief medical officer, said. “The awards not only recognize a handful of winners, but also spotlight the dedication, care and expertise of all Beaumont doctors.”

Dixon, who works in cardiovascular medicine, received Beaumont's Outstanding Academic Excellence Award for 2012.
