Birmingham Resident Performs With Boston-Based Commonwealth Shakespeare Company

Recent college graduate and Birmingham resident Adriana Jones is spending her summer with the highly-selective apprenceticeship program with the Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, based in Boston.

For eight weeks, Jones — a 2012 graduate of the Cornish College of the Arts — has been studying theater in intensive acting and movement classes, preparing for her roles in the Commonwealth Shakespeare's summer performance series.

Jones is in the cast of Coriolanus, being performed for three weeks through Aug. 12 on Boston's historic Boston Common across from the historic Statehouse.

Jones is also performing in Commonwealth Shakespeare's Tour of the Parks program, Aug. 4-11, free, a family oriented production of Shakespeare on Love, a collection of scenes, sonnets and songs inspired by Shakespeare's love scenes.
