CARE House of Oakland County has named Bloomfield Hills resident Carol Furlong as the organization’s new Executive Director. Furlong had previously served as Executive Director of the American Red Cross’ Donor Services, Southeastern Michigan Blood Services Region.
“Carol has the skill set, relationships and personality to lead CARE House into the future in our new home on Woodward Avenue,” said Cathy Weissenborn, President of the CARE House Board of Trustees. “Her professional background in both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors and her passion for our mission made her a clear choice as our next Executive Director.”
Furlong had been with the Red Cross since 1997, with increasing responsibility throughout her career there. Previously, she worked at The Moran Group, where she oversaw sales.
