The City of Birmingham is seeking energetic, organized and dependable applicants for a part-time Dispatcher position with the City's . Under the supervision of the Commander, the part-time Dispatcher will dispatch police, fire, emergency and medical units; answer incoming 911 lines, other emergency calls, and police non-emergency lines; operate computer aided dispatch equipment; and monitoring and coordinating police, fire, emergency and medical unit activity and assignments via radio frequencies.
This position offers a flexible part-time schedule of up to 24 hours per week and starts at $14.88 per hour. Shifts include morning, afternoons, and/or midnights.
