DAR to Offer Hospitality Tent for Veterans During Dream Cruise

The Piety Hill chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will host a special tent for veterans during the 2012 Woodward Dream Cruise, held Aug. 18.

The group's special hospitality tent will be set up in front of in Birmingham, providing VIP covered seating for veterans looking to enjoy the Dream Cruise and share stories.

For the first time, 2012 will also mark the first year the DAR will be working with the John D. Dingall VA Medical Center.

The hospitality area will be open on Aug. 18 from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. All veterans are asked to wear or bring along some remembrance of their military service. Accomodations for disabled veterans will be made.

Woodward Camera is located at 33501 Woodward Ave., four blocks north of 14 Mile Road on the west side of Woodward.
