David Wolkinson Announces Plan to Eliminate Michigan’s Corporate Income Tax

On Tuesday, the Detroit News printed David Wolkinson’s editorial on eliminating state corporate income taxes on businesses in Michigan.

Wolkinson is running against Oakland County Commissioner David Potts, Birmingham School Board Member Rob Lawrence and Bloomfield Hills Commissioner Mike McCready for the 44th district's spot in the state house.

Wolkinson writes that “Eliminating Michigan's corporate income tax would be a revenue-enhancing step toward job creation and economic growth.”

As Wolkinson lays out in the piece, doing so would give Michigan a major competitive advantage over its neighbors and would put Michigan well on its way to becoming the best place in the world to do business.

Wolkinson writes that “With tax season officially behind us, many Michigan families continue struggling to find jobs and pay their bills. It is imperative that government officials do everything in their power to grow the economy, create jobs and attract business investment to the state.”
