
Eleanor "Coco" Siewert will be among the honorees at the 28th annual Wonder Woman Awards, to be held May 23 at the Somerset Inn in Troy.
The awards are sponsored by the Women Officials Network Foundation.
Not only a former Birmingham mayor and city commissioner, Siewert is a member of the Women Officials Network and a "tireless advocate for the voluntary participation in organizations that preserve the concept of community in the contexts of education, advocacy and service," a recent press release from the Women Officials Network reads.

After moving to Birmingham in 1967, Siewert has been a Girl Scout leader, Library Board member and sat on the Birmingham City Commission. Siewert served as mayor of Birmingham from 1988-89 and 1995-96.
Siewert is also an expert in Parliamentary procedure as a tool in dispute resolution, and has been a resource to the Michigan Municipal League for more than 20 years.

Also to be honored during the event is Sandra Hermanoff, CEO and President of Hermanoff Public Relations, as well as the creator in the "I'm a Believer Campaign."
Teresa Rodges, the executive director of the Riley Foundation/Marketing at McLauren Oakland Medical Center, will also be honored.
A reception for all honorees and guests begins at 5:30 on May 23, followed by a dinner at 7 p.m. and awards presentation at 8 p.m.
