On the Agenda: School Board to Consider 2012-13 Budget Tuesday

The Birmingham Board of Education will meet for their regular meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the district's administrative offices.

• Jennifer Gottlieb, the district's science coordiator, will discuss the recent NASA downlink event.

Resolutions

• Routine personnel action
• Recognition of Paul Van Ermen as the Birmingham Education Assocation Teacher of the Year
• Resolution to creat a joint senior services committee with the city of Birmingham and the Birmingham Area Seniors Center
• Approval of the 2012-13 general appropriations budget act
• Authorization of the 2012-13 operating tax rates
• Authorization of the 2012-13 debt retirement millage
• Awarding a work contract for: district-wide building facade repairs, playground surfacing and upgrading the district's PA system.
• Appointing a representative to the Special Education Parent Advisory Committee
• Renewing the district's membership in the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA)
• Approving various sports camps, including: Groves wrestling, Groves pom pon, Groves football, Groves cheerleading, Groves volleyball and Seaholm football.
