The Community House Announces New Board Members

The Community House Board of Directors has announced the appointment of three new board members.

 “On behalf of The Community House, it is my pleasure to welcome Jonathon Citrin, Rob Farr and Rick Nahm to our Board of Directors," said Camille Jayne, president and CEO of The Community House. "They are all extremely accomplished, great stewards in the community and are joining TCH as enthusiastic board members. We look forward to their input and insights for shaping The Community House for the remainder of 2012 and beyond."

Jonathan Citrin is founder and and Chief Executive Officer of the CitrinGroup. Jonathon is also Chairman of CitrinGroup's Investment Advisory Board, and is an Adjunct Faculty of Finance at Wayne State University's School of Business Administration, where his classes include Security Analysis, Investment Policies, Corporate Finance, and International Finance. In addition to this work, Jonathon serves on the International Business Advisory Board of Eastern Michigan University and the Investor-Leadership Council of the Michigan Economic Center. Jonathon received his B.A. from Tulane University and his M.A. from New York University. Before entering the investment industry, he worked as an educator in both New York and Texas. Prior to forming CitrinGroup, Jonathan managed investment portfolios at Morgan Stanley and Morgan Stanley Dean Witter.

Robert E. Farr was appointed President and CEO of Bank of Birmingham in July 2006 after playing an instrumental role in the bank’s founding. A member of the bank’s Board of Directors, he has more than 30 years of experience in the banking industry, over two decades of which have been in the Birmingham/Bloomfield market. Rob’s extensive banking experience, strong background in the Bank’s market area, and sterling record on developing, building and managing banking relationships, along with his documented leadership skills, allow him to successfully lead the Bank’s management team. Previously, Rob served as Regional Director of Private Banking (Michigan) for TCF Bank. Prior to that, he served as the Regional Director of Private Banking (Eastern Michigan) and as a senior lender for Fifth Third Bank (formerly Old Kent Bank). Rob is a fourth generation community banker who holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business from Michigan State University. Rob is currently chairing the 2012 Annual Fund Drive for The Community House.

Rick Nahm served as President of Cranbrook Educational Community from 2001-2012. Prior to that, he served as senior vice president and acting president of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation as well as president of Knox College and senior vice president of the University of Pennsylvania. Rick has written several articles on fundraising, strategic planning and management.  He has served as a consultant to numerous colleges, universities and cultural organizations. He is Chair of the organizing committee for planning and development, Smithsonian Institution. Rick holds a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Centre College and a M.S. in Chemistry from University of Kentucky.
