Beaumont Executives to Speak During Chamber's Healthcare Forecast Breakfast
A pair of Beaumont officials will talk about the rising cost of healthcare and the impact of the Affordable Care Act during a special meeting next week.
How high will health care costs climb in the next few years? What will new government regulations mean for my family or my business?
Those are the questions two Beaumont officials will try to answer next week at the Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber's 2013 Healthcare Forecast Breakfast, scheduled for 8 a.m. March 21 at the Townsend Hotel.
Gene Michalski, president and CEO of Beaumont Health Systems, and Michael Herbert, senior vice president and executive director of Beaumont Physician Partners, will speak to how Birmingham-area businesses can "better navigate the health care minefield."

The event is a partnership between the Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber and Beaumont Health Systems, and is the third in the Chamber's annual "forecast series."
Last month, Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) headlined the Chamber's Government Forecast Breakfast while a local economist and real estate agent spoke at the Economic and Real Estate Breakfast in January.

During the March breakfast, however, Michalski will specifically address the continuing evolution of healthcare services as well as challenges corporations face in providing these services for their employees.
Meanwhile, Herbert will focus on the impact of the Affordable Care Act, sometimes called "Obamacare," and what it means for employers and their employees.
The event costs $40 for Chamber members and $50 for non-members. The morning includes a full breakfast. Corporate tables of eight are available for $290.
