Birmingham Farmers Market Open Sunday
Despite Labor Day weekend, the Birmingham Farmers Market will be held during its usual hours.
BIRMINGHAM, MI — If you’ve not visited the Birmingham Farmers Market, this Sunday might be a good time to start. Despite the Labor Day holiday weekend, the market will be open its usual hours, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 521 Brookside Avenue.
More than 50 booths are featured each week at the Birmingham Farmers Market. Locally and regionally grown produce, garden plants and flowers, organics, freshly prepared foods and hand-crafted items are typically available.

Organizers do their best to make it a fun shopping experience, too, with live music and a “kids zone.” The Birmingham Farmers Market runs through Oct. 29.
Several events are planned before the end of the season. On Sept. 17, the Harvest Festival will be held and feature corn shelling, farm animals and free craft activities for kids. The End Of Season Celebration features trick-or-treating, hayrides and pumpkin carving.
