Chamber Event Raises Funds To Provide 10K Meals

BIRMINGHAM, MI — More than 10,000 meals will be served to Oakland County families in need thanks to this year’s Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber’s Vine & Dine held Wednesday at Erhard BMW in Bloomfield Township, according to a Birmingham Eccentric report.

“The success of the event is unquestionably accredited to the restaurants and wine distributors who participate, along with the generous donations of auction items from local businesses,” Joe Bauman, President of Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber, stated in a news release.

The chamber works with Gleaner’s Community Food Bank to help provide the meals. Past Vine & Dine locations have been held at the Cranbrook Institute of Science, Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center and Somerset’s Nieman Marcus. The first Vine & Dine was held under a tent in the parking lot between The Townsend Hotel and The Community House in downtown Birmingham.

“We like to showcase different chamber members by bringing 350+ guests to venues in Oakland County, it’s a fun night to socialize with colleagues and friends,” says Andrea Foglietta, Director of Marketing & Events at the Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber.

Food and wine participants in this year’s Vine & Dine include: The Bird & The Bread, Streetside Seafood, Roadside B&G, Bill’s Eat and Drink, Olga’s Kitchen, CafeML, Yardbird Smoked Meats, Coffee and Cupcakes provided by BIGGBY Coffee, Beverly Hills and Yummy Cupcakes. ML Spirits, Hill’s Fine Wine & Spirits, Birmingham Wine, Granite City Food & Brewery, Elie Wine Co. & Woodberry Wine.
