Church Volunteer's Wallet Stolen, Drunk Driver Arrested at Peabody Parking Garage

Cash taken from church volunteer's wallet

Police are investigating after a voluneer at the First Baptist Church reported that her wallet was stolen while she was painting the church's nursery.

According to police reports, the theft occurred around 10 a.m. Monday. Another volunteer said around that time, they saw a man with dirty blond hair go into the nursery. The wallet was later found at a psychiatrist's office on North Old Woodward with only $11 in cash missing.

Drunk driver arrested at parking garage

A drunk driver was arrested at the Peabody Street Parking Garage last Friday. According to police reports, an officer was dispatched to the garage around 2 a.m. Friday because a vehicle was having trouble getting out. The driver — a 45-year-old from Clayton, OH — man — was found to be drunk and arrested on his third operating while intoxicated charge.

Drunk man arrested on Ridgedale Saturday

A 39-year-old man from Troy was arrested for disorderly conduct after he was found drunk on the 900 block of Ridgedale last Saturday night. According to reports, a homeowner told police a man was sitting in their vehicle in their driveway around 9 p.m. Saturday. When officers arrived, they found the man highly intoxicated, reports state.

Grill tank goes missing from home on Graefield

A resident on the 700 block of Graefield Court reported that the LP tank went missing from his grill sometime between 7:30-9:30 p.m. Monday. The grill is located just outside the back door.

Men discovered with a marijuana in parking garage

Officers discovered two men sitting in the Park Street Parking Garage with a bag of marijuana. Police found the men around midnight Wednesday, sitting in their car with the drugs. The driver, a 19-year-old man from Bloomfield Hills, was issued a citation for possession of marijuana and given a court day.
