Community House to Host Tea, Vintage Jewelry Sale Saturday

Our pick for today: Vintage Tea and Jewelry Sale

• When: 1-3 p.m. Saturday
  
• Where: The Community House
  
• Cost: $40 to attend the tea; $5 to attend the sale
  
• Why Go: Enjoy an afternoon of music, tea and shopping during The Community House's Vintage Tea and Jewelry Sale this weekend. A full tea — including coffee, fruit, tea, tea sandwiches and desserts — will be served alongside the music of pianist Penny Marourus, who will perform a selection of romantic tunes from the Great American Songbook.
  
  In addition to the tea, more than 30 vendors will be on site selling vintage and contemporary jewelry and apparel. One of those vendors is Rochester Hills resident Lisa Adams.
  
  "The first piece to inspire my designs began with a friend's brooch, left to her by her grandmother," Adams said. "Using the brooch, I created a beautiful necklace for her. She wears the family heirloom with love."
