
Birmingham's StoryTellers Guild will hold their annual fundraising luncheon on May 17 at the Community House.
During the luncheon, New York Times-bestselling author Kelly DiPucchio will tak about creativity and the role it played in the creation of her new picture book series, Crafty Chloe. In this fun and engaging slide presentation, DiPucchio will share the stories behind her stories.
Oak Park's Book Beat will also sponsor a book sale featuring DiPicchio's books. DiPucchio will be available to sign books after the program. A portion of the book sale proceeds will be donated back to the StoryTellers Guild.

The event will also feature a silent auction of art, crafts ad collectibles. Illustrator Heather Ross has donated a limited-edition print taken from Crafty Chloe to the auction.
The members of the StoryTellers Guild visit classrooms in nine local communities to share stories twice a month to approximately 1,700 students. The StoryTellers Guild also donates $100 worth of new books per teller to those schoos.
