Officials have not disclosed any details or what caused the fire. Patch has reached out to the Bloomfield Township Fire Department for more details and will update when we hear back.

The country club was founded in 1916 by two Ford executives and has hosted major golf tournaments such as the 90th PGA Championship in 2008 and the 35th Ryder Cup in 2004. Golf greats including Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and Ben Hogan have competed and won on the famed South Course, known better in the sport as "The Monster."

Oakland Hills spent $12 million last year to restore its South Course, and the U.S. Golf Association said last month the Course would host the U.S. Women's Open in 2031 and 2042.
