New Details In Ex-Michigan Football Coach's Arrest
Sherrone Moore was fired from the university for allegations of engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member.

WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI — Police testimony in newly released court documents show the events leading to former Michigan Wolverines football coach Sherrone Moore's firing and arrest last week.
The University of Michigan fired Moore on Dec. 10 for engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member, which the university said "constitutes a clear violation of University policy."
Newly released court documents show Moore and a staff member had been in an intimate relationship for roughly two years.

Two days before Moore was fired, the woman had ended their relationship and wouldn't respond to his calls and texts, according to court documents.
The woman told police that after she and her attorney went to the university to file a report, she returned home to gather her belongings with the intention "to leave town," according to court documents.

After learning he was fired, Moore went to the woman's apartment in the 3000 block of Ann Arbor Saline Road in Pittsfield Township, where he "pushed his way into her apartment," according to court documents.
Police said he approached her and grabbed two butter knives from a drawer, saying, "you ruined my life. You ruined my life," court documents allege.
Once the woman got her lawyer on the phone, police said Moore "immediately backed up and turned the knives on himself, pointing them at his neck, saying that he was going to kill himself and that she was going to watch," according to court documents.
The woman told Moore she was going to call police and that's when Moore left the apartment, but he continued sending her texts, saying "he hated her" and that "his blood would be on her hands," prosecutors say.
The woman told officers that she "has never been more terrified in her life," according to court documents.
Moore was arrested later that day. He was charged with third-degree home invasion, stalking and breaking and entering. He was released from jail on a $25,000 bond, according to the Washtenaw County Prosecutor's Office.
