PONTIAC, Mich. — The 10th annual Night of Hope gala, hosted by Grace Centers of Hope (GCH), will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. on Fri., Nov. 10 at the Townsend Hotel located at 100 Townsend St., Birmingham. This black-tie fundraising event supports the Children's Program at GCH, which offers a nurturing environment for children whose lives have been affected by homelessness and addiction.
"Over the last 10 years of Night of Hope, we’ve achieved remarkable milestones with our Children’s Program,” said Pastor Kent Clark, CEO of Grace Centers of Hope. “We’ve raised nearly $1.5 million in charitable contributions, enabling us to make a profound impact on the lives of children. With these funds, we’ve purchased a new daycare center, doubling our capacity to provide children’s services, enhanced and expanded our playground, and sent our kids to YMCA’s summer program, as well as more than 20 field trips each year. This is all thanks to the tremendous generosity of our donors, especially attendees and sponsors of our annual Night of Hope.”

Chris Stevenson, host of “Morning Light” on 103.5 WMUZ in Detroit, will serve as emcee for the evening, featuring touching stories, inspiring videos, a gourmet dinner, live music, and a silent auction. Guests also will have the chance to win two exclusive raffles: a $2,000 Visa shopping spree; and one of three vacations packages: a three-night stay at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess with a $500 gift card for golf and spa; a four-night stay at Kauai Beach Resort & Spa; or four-night stay in Bar Harbor, Maine with a two-hour Windjammer sailing trip.

The GCH Children’s Program offers a safe, stable and nurturing environment for at-risk children who have suffered trauma or developmental deficiencies because of family issues with homelessness, addiction or abuse. The program provides free childcare at the GCH Hands of Hope Childcare Center as well as educational and recreational opportunities while parents participate in the organization’s life-changing programs. GCH remains committed to expanding its Children’s Program, including adding new facilities and staff to provide care for more children in need of hope and healing.
