Bloomfield Township Man Arrested After Stealing Vehicle in Rochester Hills
The Oakland County Sheriff's Department provided the following information. Arrests do not indicate conviction.

Oakland County Sheriff's deputies arrested a 24-year-old Bloomfield Township man who is accused of taking a vehicle that was warming up on the driveway of a home in Rochester Hills, reports said.Â
Deputies responded to the 300 block of Maple Hills Drive for a theft report shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday and a homeowner said they left the vehicle running in the driveway to warm up for a few minutes, and it was stolen. Officers with the Rochester Police Department spotted the vehicle nearby and followed it on a brief chase before the suspect bailed out and ran into a nearby home, reports said.Â
The officers arrested him without further incident. Detectives with the Sheriff's Auto-Theft Task Force responded to the police station and investigation is ongoing. The suspect was lodged at the Oakland County Jail pending arraignment on unspecified charges.Â
