Bloomfield Township Warns of Water Insurance Solicitation

Bloomfield Township officials want residents to know the township has nothing to do with a solicitation letter going around regarding water insurance.

The township posted the following notice on its official web site this month:

You may have received a letter from a company called American Water Resources telling you about the cost of water line leaks or breaks. The letter asks you to purchase insurance to protect you against any liability. Bloomfield Township officials want to make clear to the public that this is a private company and is not partnering with the Township in this effort. Its products and services are not endorsed by the Township. If you have any questions or concerns, please call Public Services, 248.594.2800.
