City of Bloomfield Hills DPW – Utility Operator

The City of Bloomfield Hills has an open position for Utility Operator in the Department of Public Works. The position requires skilled and semi-skilled work. Heavy manual labor as required. Candidate must be able to operate and have experience with dump trucks, front loaders, tractors, salt / chloride trucks, mowers, flat bed trailers, and all hand-held power tools. Ability to engage in heavy manual labor for extended periods, in all types of weather and under various working conditions. The position will require the candidate to be on-call and work extended hours during the winter season and times during weather emergencies. The position starting salary is $43,963 - $51,688 and includes a competitive benefit package including medical, dental and a defined contribution retirement plan. The position requires a valid Class-B Michigan Commercial Driver’s License including air brake endorsement.
