eBook Help Offered at Bloomfield Township, Baldwin Public Libraries

Got an eReader for the holidays? The Bloomfield Township and Baldwin public libraries can help you learn what exactly you're now capable of.

Editor's Note: In November 2011, Bloomfield Hills residents narrowly passed a 0.39-mill levy to fund a three-year contract with the Baldwin Public Library, giving them a library to call their own after several years and two previous millage attempts.

The holidays are over, and if you were lucky enough to get the latest in eReader technology as a gift, or want to brush up on your mobile device skill set, the Bloomfield Township Public Library and  Baldwin Public Library can help you get started.

Learn all about the materials and services available for ebooks, audiobooks and downloadable apps in a special section of the Bloomfield Township Public Library's website, any time of day.

The Baldwin Public Library will begin classes this weekend to introduce you to the ins and outs of ebooks, including instruction on the difference between ebooks and audiobooks, and how to access them on your device. The library will also go over access of its digital library available at www.baldwinlib.org/ebooks

The eBook Download Help Sessions occur every Saturday at 10 a.m with no appointment or registration required. Upcoming classes include “eBooks and Your Kindle” on Monday, Jan. 20 at 7 p.m. and “eBooks and Your iPad” on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. Interested individuals can register for these classes at www.baldwinlib.org/calendar or by calling 248-554-4650.
