Home Invasions on Charing Cross and Stoneleigh in Bloomfield Township

The Bloomfield Township Police Department provided the following information.

Two recent home invasions have prompted detectives with the Bloomfield Township Police Department to remind residents that they can notify authorities if they plan to be out of town for security checks.

Officers responded to a home in the 4400 Block of Stoneleigh last week after someone checking on the residence while the homeowner is out of town found a door unsecured and items missing, reports said. No suspect information was available and it was unclear what was taken from the home.

The break-in occurred sometime between Dec. 3 and Dec. 14. The case was assigned to detectives.

Officers were also dispatched to a home in the 4900 block of Charing Cross after a resident who had been out of town on business said he found a back door forced open upon his return. Jewelry and cash were missing, reports said. The break-in occurred sometime between Dec. 20 and Dec. 25. No suspect information was available.
