BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI -- A woman wanted for taking cash and credit cards out of purses at Trader Joe’s used the cards to make thousands of dollars in purchases at Target, according to police. On December 4, 2017, between 11:15 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., police say the suspect took a wallet containing credit cards, ID and $40 in cash from a woman’s purse as she shopped at Trader Joe’s, 6536 Telegraph Road.
The victim shopped with her purse and wallet in the upper portion of her cart, and when she attempted to check out, she noticed her wallet was missing. The same day, between 12:13 p.m. and 1:01 p.m., the victim’s debit card was used at a Target to make purchases totaling $4,753.
Wednesday, March 28, at 5:06 p.m., a woman’s purse containing cash and credit cards was stolen from her shopping cart. One of the victim’s credit cards was subsequently used at the Target in Troy to make a purchase valued at $1,056. Police believe the same suspect is responsible, because she was caught on video leaving both Target stores (as seen in the photos above).
