Run For Their Lives Chocolate Walk and More This Weekend

Patch is here to make your life ridiculously easy, so as you sit down today and plan your weekend, here are some events you should know about in the Brighton area.

1. Run For Their Lives Chocolate Walk

  • When: Saturday, Sept. 21
  • Where: Downtown Brighton
  • What: Walk through downtown Brighton stopping at our 10 local vendors  here you can redeem a chocolate treat. Not only will you enjoy the the great chocolate treats but you will also fundamentally alter and even SAVE lives by raising funds for Pregnancy Helpline Clinic.
2. Farm to Table Experience
  • When: Saturday, Sept. 21 at 6 p.m.
  • Where: Greater Brighton Area Chamber located at 218 E. Grand River Ave.
  • What: The menu, created by Steve Pilon, the Executive Chef and part owner of The Wooden Spoon will also feature the efforts of Flex Tech culinary arts students who will also be helping to serve the meal.
3. Park It, On Lakelands Trail
  • When: Saturday, Sept. 21
  • Where: Lakelands Trail to Hamburg near 10655 Hamburg Road, Whitmore Lake
  • What: DNR instructors, community groups and recreation vendors will host cool workshops, booths and displays at Winkelhaus Park including archery, bike tuneups, wildlife exhibits, native memories and crafts, boating (paddleboards, kayaks and canoes), wilderness survival, a vintage children's game area, learn-to-fish events and the H.E.R.O./Hamburg RC Flyers Club. 
4. 'Pedal Toward a Cure' During Brighton's Bike MS Event
  • When: September 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Where: Island Lake Recreation Area
  • What: Enjoy a cycling adventure with 600 of your closest friends. Choose your challenge, with route options for all cycling abilities.
