Board (livingstondaily.com) — Genoa Township has appointed Brighton Senior Center director and Brighton High School alum Jodie Valenti to fill a vacant trustee seat, giving Brighton-area residents a familiar voice on the board. Valenti, who has lived in Genoa for over 20 years and raised three BHS kids, says her deep community ties and work with local seniors shape her vision for the township’s future. 
• Prep basketball roundup: Douglass hands Mumford first loss behind balanced offense (detroitnews.com) — Brighton High’s boys and girls basketball teams both rolled past Novi, with the boys winning 60–37 and the girls 63–24 in KLAA play. The roundup also highlights results for nearby rivals like Hartland and Howell, giving Brighton fans a quick look at how regional competition is shaping up early in the season.
