Brighton Hockey Beats Bay City, Heads to Semifinals
The Bulldogs are looking to defend their state title.

Defending champions the Brighton Bulldogs are looking to recapture the state title this year.
The varsity hockey team beat Bay City Central in the quarterfinals Wednesday, 5-3. The team now goes on to play Detroit U-D Jesuit in the semifinals, according to the MHSAA website.
The game is scheduled for Friday at 8:30 p.m. at Compuware Arena in Plymouth.

If they win, the Bulldogs will face the winner of Friday's East Kentwood vs. Detroit Catholic Central game in the finals.
The championship game is scheduled for Saturday at 6 p.m. at Compuware.
