Cars Broken Into Overnight in Genoa Township Neighborhood

Two cars parked at two different homes were broken into on the same night with items stolen from each, according to a report from the Livingston County Sheriff's Department.

Police say on Sept. 16, a homeowner on the 3800 block of Kipling Circle in Genoa Township told police that he had found items that had been stored inside his car had been "scattered around inside" and loose change and a box containing business cards were missing. No other damage was reported.

The homeowner also told police that he had received an email from a neighbor telling him that several other cars in his neighborhood had been broken in to as well.

A neighbor on the 3600 block of Kipling Circle also reported a break in on the same day, according to the report. Items missing included a pair of Nike golf shoes valued at $100 and a bag of loose change, according to the report.

The second neighbor told police that after letting his dog out around 3:30 a.m., he had heard a car alarm going off somewhere in the neighborhood.
