Reward for Missing Pig - Please Help Us Find Winston!

12/1/2025 *WINSTON THE PIG IS STILL MISSING*
$100 REWARD for his safe return!
Winston let himself out of his enclosure and took himself for a walk on Friday 11/21/2025. Nobody was home to give him permission for a field trip.
He has not been seen since that morning when he had his breakfast and went to play with his goat friends in their enclosure. He has now been missing for nine days. Nine days of pure heartbreak for our family.
Winston is more than a pet to us. Eight years ago, he survived a rare case of tetanus thanks to the care of Dr. Jan Pol (his story was aired on The Incredible Dr. Pol). During that recovery, he grew unusually affectionate and trusting. A few months later, Winston woke my daughter and me in the middle of the night when our home filled with carbon monoxide from a blocked chimney. My husband was out of town, and we were sound asleep. The fire chief later told us Winston likely saved our lives.
Very generous people have offered their services with drones. An incredibly generous person has put up a reward. ($100)! A kind Montessori teacher asked her students to help us by making signs and posters. Strangers have sent prayers and offered to keep a lookout. We are forever grateful.
At this point, we are very concerned that Winston will not survive the snow and unusually cold temperatures.
We are hoping that he either took shelter in somebody’s barn or garage, or a good Samaritan picked him up and took him home.
Please continue to keep looking for him and spreading the word as far and wide as possible so that we can bring Winston home to his family who is missing him so very much.
Last seen: 11/21/2025 Area: near the intersection of Fenton Road and Clyde Road in Hartland, Michigan. Description: short and stocky. Built like an anvil with very short legs. About 1 foot tall. About 60 pounds. All black.
Winston is very friendly. He loves people. He does not bite and he cannot run fast. He may look intimidating, but he is a sweetheart. Being that he is a pig, he is very food oriented and likely to come to anybody, especially if they have a treat. If you see him, it is totally safe to approach him. If you scratch his back, he may flop over for a belly rub. If picked up, he will squeal loudly, but it is harmless.
Thank you, everybody, for your kindness, generosity, support, and concern. Please don’t forget about Winston. Keep looking for him in the hope that we can find him and bring him home.
