1. The weather
Today will be cloudy, with an 80 percent chance of rain, wind gusts as high as 29 miles per hour, and a high near 65 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be breezy, with wind gusts up to 32 miles per hour and a low around 33 degrees.

2. Gasoline prices
Here's a quick survey of the lowest per-gallon prices for regular gasoline in the Brighton area as of Thursday night, according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com:

3. Month of the Young Child
The invites families to celebrate the Month of the Young Child today at 10:30 a.m. There will be stories, songs and rhymes with local guest readers, including Rep. Bill Rogers and Brighton Area Schools Superintendent Greg Gray. Each participant will receive a free book. Refreshments will be provided.

4. Cinderella's Closet
Cinderella's Closet opens today from 3-8 p.m. at in Brighton. Co-sponsored by LACASA, this event helps high school girls find affordable prom dresses and accessories. All dresses just $25.
